Grow a moustache for Movember
This month of Movember (formerly November), I’m growing my moustache to raise awareness for men’s health. I’ve grown an amazing moustache before but I had to let it go before I got too attached.
My son was also about to be born and my wife was very strict on no baby kissing moustache.
Movember is a worldwide charity event challenging men to grow moustaches this month, to raise awareness of men’s health and also funds for men’s health programs. The Movember community has raised 559 million USD since 2003 funding prostate and testicular cancer programs. To learn more about their programs visit their website.
Although the month has started, I’m encouraging all you dads out there to join this cause and raise awareness. Here are the rules:
Even if you can’t grow a moustache, you can still support this cause by donating to anyone participating in this charity event. You can also donate to my Mo space at mobro.co/daddyjourney, I will receive ZERO of any amount donated.
The most important thing is that we raise awareness about men’s health issues especially prostate and testicular cancer, you can also follow me on Twitter and Facebook for any updates or health tips I will be sharing this month.
While I won’t be able to grow a magnificent moustache in just a month, I will be updating this post for any progress of my moustache.
Update 11/27/2014: I haven’t been able to update this post like I wanted and there are only 4 days left for Movember! While I have been able to raise only 0.00$, I hope at the very least I was able to raise awareness for men’s health.
